Lab Grown Diamonds

We are happy to see that the popularity of lab grown diamonds are growing. We are ecstatic to see a movement that is creating safer environments for all and helps protect Mother Earth. Lab grown diamonds are optically, physically, and chemically identical to mined diamonds, so the reasons why we will be using lab grown diamonds in our designs are simple. While we will still work with post-consumer and ethically-sourced diamonds, we support lab grown for the following reasons: 

LESS CONFLICT

CVD diamonds are grown in high tech laboratories. Because these gemstones are grown inside these labs, there is less chance of harming native communities, violence, human rights abuse and child labor. 

ECO-FRIENDLY

Contributing to a green environment, CVD diamonds are grown above ground in a laboratory. There is no toxic mining and excavation which, therefore, keeps nature, its surrounding communities and its natural resources intact.

TYPE IIA

Natural Type IIA diamonds are rare and make up only 1-2% of all mined diamonds. A number of famed diamonds in the world are Type IIA like the Koh-I-Noor, Cullinan, Lesedi La Rona and Krupp to name a few. Our lab grown CVD diamonds are Type IIA. 

GRADING

Our CVD diamonds are graded by my supplier using the same standards as mined diamonds.​
